Ramblings Of A Thinking Mind

I have made the jump to dreamwidth! Thank you dreamwidth for existing :) (and for making the import process so easy!!)

Personal life got in the way and I am not currently writing but I do have plans to one day pick it up again (and hopefully write better when I do!).

That being said, here I am. Ask away if you have any questions.

Ok so this is obviously not the next part. To be honest, I forgot and it is too late to start writing because I have an extra early morning. You can read my reasons or skip to the bottom.

Reasons:
-I finally got to play with my Christmas present to myself - Sony PSP Holiday bundle (PSPS, Karate Kid movie, and Little Big Planet) - arrived yesterday but it had to charge and I got home at 9.
-my sister had a Junior Classical League thing (Saturnalia) at a local - but not her - high school, that she wanted me to go to with her so I went there straight after work and only got home at 9 - we even left early (8:10ish and it ended at 9).
-...that's it. That's why I forgot. Well, that and I have been frantically trying to figure out what everyone that I need to buy presents for wants and where is the cheapest place to get them (only one person is completely done! one is almost done - I have to get my sister legos...she is in 9th grade and wants legos...no I'm kidding. Legos are cool and she actually wants to finish the set she has so (it's like the neighborhood thing with the hotel and grocery store...know what I mean?)

Bottom: so the bottom line (hence bottom) is that tomorrow I will update with 2 parts and the second one might be smut. I have to look at my notes. If not, I may try to keep writing until I get to the smut part (I feel bad I skipped a week (or does it count as two if I update a day late?)

EDIT: So Lj sucks! I had like six parts "posted" or so I thought. For some reason they didn't post and neither did my hiatus warning. Work and class have run my life. I graduate in December and am taking 7 classes to make it work :(

Anyway, my computer has crashed since I "posted" and the files - which I thought were posted - have been lost. I am going to go back over what I have and try to make it better (as I grimace every time I read over them) and to continue but I have no idea when that will happen.

If you have any ideas or things you would like to see, go ahead and comment or PM me (it will probably help as my notes were burned in a fire - long story short my best friend is very sorry XP )

Author’s Note 1: So I was looking over the first two parts and at least the second one has really bad grammar. My only excuse is that I was half out of my mind with exhaustion, allergies, a fever, and who knows what else. So at some point I will go back over all of the parts and fix the grammar.

2: There are some purposeful spelling mistakes - I tried to write it how Sam would say it.

3: So an earlier update did not happen and I don’t think this is much longer (would you believe my dog or rather my mom‘s dog - I am a cat person - ate my notes so I have no idea what was originally going in this part). My excuse here is that Monday I was sick with an extreme case of laziness and Tuesday I got dragged to places all day because it was my brother’s birthday (and the weekend was gone in a snap).

TBC… (hopefully either this weekend or at least by next Thursday – that’s my official mental deadline but if I get done earlier, I’ll post).

I just got Sanctuary Season 1 on DVD (*squee*). I have only seen bits and pieces of season 2 - which I didn't like but I'll watch in whole someday - and none of season 3 - again, will watch someday. Anywho, in season 1, I like all the characters (but Ashley? Ashlee? whatever? is a bit of a snob, well spoiled brat more like but she is still a good person/character). I like the Henry/Will pairing.

While I am talking SciFi/Syfy, Eureka! No not the epiphany moment type thing but the TV show. My favorite characters are Nathan and Jack (also my favorite pairing followed by Jack and Nathan and Allison). I have not seen the new season although *SPOILER* I have heard that Nathan comes back. YEAH! I'm so excited! (Anybody catch the Cat in the Hat reference - hey I babysit).

Ok so three new fandoms. Well two semi-new, a couple of months old one and one a few weeks old.

One of the semi-new ones is Criminal Minds. :) My favorite characters are Dr. Spencer Reid and Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner followed by Jack Hotchner (because children are adorable). I like the pairing Reid/Hotch (a little obvious eh?) but I also like Reid/Hotch/other male character such as Morgan.

I do not have a preference of Gideon or Rossi although I do think it was kind of shitty for Gideon to abandon the team like that (interesting real life parallel with actor...ironic dontcha think?). I do however prefer Emily Prentiss to Elle Greenway. I like all the main characters except for Haley Hotchner but that's only because I think she was stupid to marry someone in the legal system (Hotch was a prosecuter and then joined the FBI like he is now) and expect them to not be busy and to not care a lot about the job. That was a duh for me. Plus, divorce! I mean seriously you are so self-centered that even though you just had a baby and are still in love with Hotch, you are going to get a divorce! Anyway, I am decent enough to feel bad that the character died but it was kind of a relief in a way because now Hotch doesn't have to worry about a custody battle or stuff like that [have I mention his son Jack is adorable? ;)]

Moving on to the next semi-new fandom - it is NCIS: Los Angeles. I love the actor who plays G Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and the other character are awesome! Hetty is hysterical! (a little exclamation point happy today...sorry :P). The pairing I favor is Sam/Callen although I do like a nice Callen/Eric.

On a side note:
I now have the dilemma of thinking Eric (NCIS:LA), Abby (NCIS), and Garcia (Criminal Minds) are the best lab techs ever! I feel like I should pick a favorite but...they're all my favorites! Oh well...

The third and most new fandom is ..../duh duh duh dun!/....Percy Jackson! I saw the movie first because I hadn't heard of the series before I saw the advertisements for the movie and my Latin teacher suggested that I see the movie first because the movie was different than the books. And it was. Not in a bad way. In a movie-adaption kind of way. I liked both versions. The book was made to be a series and the movie was made to be successful on its own or a series (depending on how popular it gets).

So movie fun facts! Logan Lerman, who plays Percy Jackson, is the youngest actor, in the four main character (in my opinion), at having just turned 18 in January. Next is Jake Abel, who plays Luke Castellan, is the next youngest at turning 23 in November. Then, Alexandra Daddario, who plays Annabeth, just turned 24 in March. Last is Brandon T. Jackson who plays Grover and turned 26 in March. Interesting huh? (p.s. Logan Lerman and Jake Abel are hot! - finally! i have located my inner teenage girl! i was wondering where she was! :P)

Anywho, my favorite pairing is Percy/Luke (as the doodles all over my Latin notes will show). I just think they could have had something great - well there's a weird sentence. But seriously, I see great potential for the pairing (if you ignore a certain (SPOILER) event in the last book). Plus I don't like the Percabeth pairing. Besides the annoying nickname given to the pairing, I don't particularly like the Annabeth pairing. People who think they know more than other people because of one thing (such as your mother being the goddess of wisdom :P) bothers me. I do like the other characters such as Zoe, Hermes, Nico (I've always felt that Hades had a raw deal. Poseidon too but not as much because Poseidon gets the sea which is wonderful and Hades gets to deal with the dead...a little depressing if you ask me. Also, what's all this flack about abducting his love/wife Persephone? We'll yell at Hades for kidnapping his love who (eventually) loves him and who he is faithful to but not yell at Zeus for infidelity? Even though Zeus is married to the goddess of marriage? Is this not a bit confusing? I say it is!...but that's my opinion. I would never force my opinion on you. If you choose to read it, that's not my fault...but I will commend you for good taste :P) et cetera (I could go on. I liked a lot of characters. I even liked Athena a little although I found her characterization a little arrogant). I am however divided on Zeus's character. There was not a lot of interaction with Zeus (aside from the whole 'you stole my thunder, give it back or die!' thing :P).

SO I just wanted to give an update. Let me know if there are any questions or concerns. Also, if you want a rec or a rec list. I am currently scouring the Internet for Percy/Luke - no one is updating *pout* - and so would be glad to help any other fic hunters out there!

Ok, this is a belated entry. I am obsessed with the new Star Trek movie. Fanfic, pics, movie, IMAX, (seen it 3 times, once in IMAX, gonna see it again, soon i hope!), magazine(s), book(s), audiobook(s) (read by Zachary Quinto *girly squee*). The actors too. Not like stalking or otherwise, but talking with others about their hotness.
Oh! i can now see Spock/Kirk. I couldn't with Shatner. I'm sorry dude, but not hot. Nimoy's not too bad, then or now (even now that he looks kinda old, distinguished but kinda old). So...now following that pairing too. (chris pine + zachary quinto = hot kirk/spock)

p.s. I finally got Enterprise on DVD (finally an 'ok' price!). Now I looking for slash fics for that. And, man am I glad T'Pol's hair was eventually fixed because whew...she's blinding.

Hugh Jackman (hot and a really great actor!) but I'd rather just keep David Tennant. :( He is such a great doctor and has chemistry with the other long-term characters.

EDIT: I have know actually watched the new season and I like Matt Smith. He's cute and a good actor. The Amy/Eleven/Rory dynamic is a neat addition to the show. Also, a good fanfic pairing...
